A career shaped by finance, entrepreneurship, and the people behind every story.

My journey began not in a boardroom, but as an intern at a stock brokerage firm — a front-row seat to how markets move and how people make decisions under pressure. From there, I stepped into the mortgage industry, moving through retail, wholesale, and franchise finance. In the franchise division, I helped expand operations nationwide, contributing to a platform that grew to more than $7 billion in volume.

My experience — working with both startups and publicly traded companies, and everything in between — has taught me more than the mechanics of finance. It showed me the power of scalability, the discipline of systems, and the very human choices that drive growth.

Along the way, I’ve launched and managed startups in technology and e-commerce. I know the exhilaration of creating something new and making it succeed, and I know the sting of shutting a company down when I could have preserved its value through a sale. That lesson stays with me: timing and perspective can define the difference between loss and opportunity. Sometimes it takes mentorship and confidence to know there is value beyond net income on the tax return.

Beyond the private sector, I’ve contributed to global initiatives — from entrepreneurship in the Congo, to pilot programs with the United Nations, to work with the U.S. Department of Defense. I also served as a rapporteur to both Democratic and Republican administrations on water advisory, guided by the conviction that we do more good united than divided.

My writing has appeared in The Atlantic, where I’ve shared ideas on education, society, and resilience.

Service has always been part of my story. I’ve served on nonprofit and advisory boards, but one of my most meaningful commitments has been a decades-long relationship as a former Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters. The real gift was what I learned: mentees bring their own wisdom and strength, and watching them grow into themselves is one of life’s most humbling privileges.

From my work in women’s empowerment, I’ve learned another lasting lesson: while we are each responsible for our own path, we achieve more when women and men champion one another. That belief continues to guide where I invest my time — in women’s empowerment, climate resiliency, and communications — and in my passion for interviewing leaders and quiet visionaries whose stories may not make headlines but shape the world in lasting ways.

What defines my content is precision paired with perspective. I believe in an independent editorial philosophy: attentive to detail, evidence-based, and human-centric. My goal is simple — to bring clarity, foster trust, and to empower the public to understand the processes that drive the market.
